As the titular main character of Boruto: Two Blue Vortex, Boruto Uzumaki often receives power upgrades that further push him to great power. As of Boruto: Two Blue Vortex Chapter 33, Boruto is certainly one of the strongest in the shinobi world, with the upgraded Kusanagi sword at his disposal and having gained access to Momoshiki Otsutsuki’s Byakugan.

With the Byakugan, Boruto Uzumaki easily perceived Shinju Mamushi’s Division duplicates, accurately sensing where each attack would come from. While the Byakugan truly grants Boruto Uzumaki incredible abilities, a second eye power is already set in motion for his future, as hinted in Boruto: Two Blue Vortex, Chapter 29. Boruto: Two Blue Vortex's New Arc Will Power Up Boruto Uzumaki to Take on Hidari and Jura

Boruto: Two Blue Vortex is starting a new story arc, following Shinju Mamushi’s loss against Inojin Yamanaka in Chapter 33. Initially, there were five powerful members of the Shinju Clones, but with Matsuri, Ryu, and Mamushi’s deaths, only Hidari and Jura remain. These two are now being positioned as the main antagonistic force for Boruto’s upcoming arc. While Hidari is modeled after Sasuke Uchiha and appears set to inherit his abilities in the upcoming fights with the Konoha shinobi, Jura stands as the undefeated embodiment of the Ten-Tails.

With Jura and Hidari on the rise, Boruto Uzumaki received full access to Momoshiki Otsutsuki’s powers and abilities, as confirmed in Boruto: Two Blue Vortex Chapter 29. With Momoshiki’s full cooperation, Boruto is now capable of utilizing Otsutsuki abilities, such as karma, without fear of losing control. One of these Otsutsuki abilities is a second ocular power, the Rinnegan, which Momoshiki has on the palms of his hands.

Why Boruto Uzumaki Will Eventually Gain Access to Momoshiki Otsutsuki’s Rinnegan

The agreement between Boruto Uzumaki and Momoshiki Otsutsuki in Boruto: Two Blue Vortex Chapter 29 will remain valid as long as Jura and Hidari are still alive. This means that Boruto is officially free to access Momoshiki Otsutsuki’s wide range of abilities, including his eye powers, until Jura and Hidari are defeated. Once Jura and Hidari are ultimately dealt with, Boruto is expected to surrender control of his body to Momoshiki as the price for relying on his Otsutsuki power.

Under the terms and conditions of Boruto’s agreement with Momoshiki, it’s only natural for Boruto to eventually gain access to the Rinnegan embedded in Momoshiki’s palms.
