Though the end of Borderlands 4’s Season Pass is in sight, there are still a few content drops left to hit as players work their way through the roadmap. One such content drop is Borderlands 4’s fourth bounty pack, which is set to debut at the tail end of July.
For those unfamiliar with bounty packs, these small DLCs are essentially one-hour, highly replayable missions that focus on a single character. The fourth bounty pack will function just like the other three in terms of content, as per the updated roadmap shared by Gearbox, it will feature a new major boss, Legendaries and Pearlescents to chase, and a handful of cosmetics. It will, however, have one more mini-boss than its predecessor, A Zane to Kill For, as it has three unique foes compared to that DLC’s two.

While Borderlands 4’s previous Bounty Pack focused on Levain’s romantic partner, this one is centered around the lady herself and will see players helping her deal with two opposing Ripper factions. One group, known as The Flock, has given up violence for peace and wants Levain’s help to mantian their peaceful life. The other group, known as the Blasphemers, have taken over a nearby Order facility in a canyon called the Toxic Scowl, and are just as aggressive as a normal group of the franchise’s iconic pyschos.

This particular bounty pack leans deeper into the idea of replayability, which has always been the goal with these shorter, combat-heavy missions. Gearbox shared via a DevCast and blog post that this July 30 release will play with the idea of “A-or-B choices that can result in different dialogue and altered combat encounters.” With this Vault Pack comes a splattered paint skin for ECHO-4 and each Vault Hunter as well as a new vehicle. Additionally, Vault Card 4 — Borderlands’ battle pass equivalent — drops alongside this Bounty Pack and contains the usual lineup of cosmetics and re-rollable Legendary gear.

While this Bounty Pack may not keep players busy for long, September’s content absolutely will. The final stop on the current roadmap not only features the new Vault Hunter known as Loveless the Hacker, but a second Story pack that resembles the Borderlands expansions of old. This particular DLC will bring back the beloved Vault Hunter FL4K, with the robot needing help on their journey to find a pet Skag that has run off on a jungle resort. Players will battle Tediore and learn how FL4K has changed in this expansion. Whether the big September content drop will truly be the end for Borderlands 4 DLC, or if there will be a Year 2 Season Pass to bring back other missing characters like Moze, remains to be seen.
Additionally, though Borderlands 4’s Season Pass originally promised four bounty packs, one being given out for free to all gamers saw Gearbox adding a fifth to the schedule so that Pass owners get the full lineup of packs they were initially promised. This will release in September 2026 alongside the final Story Pack and Vault Hunter, making for an even bigger content drop.
