The FN FAL from Black Ops 2 returns in Black Ops 7 Zombies with Season 5 Reloaded, albeit with a new name, "the TR2". Like all previous legacy weapons, the TR2 can be acquired at random from the Mystery Box exclusively in Rex Infernus, but there's actually a quick and easy way to get a free one guaranteed, provided you know what to do. This easter egg can also be done exactly the same way for the Olympia with the M10 Breacher, but you cannot do both in the same game, so you'll have to choose which one you'd prefer.
Quick Step-By-Step Overview for the Free Corrupted TR2
- Purchase the M34 Novaline at Dravakar's Inner Sanctum.
- Pack-a-Punch three total weapons.
- When it's raining, the M34 Novaline wall-buy should now be glowing.
- Use the Void Claw to pull a purple orb into Pack-a-Punch (Nexus Forge).
- Crank the wheels at Pack-a-Punch to turn the purple orbs into Astral Flame.
- Wait for the next round to start raining (preferably through Veytharion's blue well).
- Take the Astral Flame and shoot it at the glowing M34 Novaline Wall-Buy.
- Kill the Web Mother that spawns and pick up the Unstable TR2 from the M34 Novaline Wall-Buy.
- Take the Unstable TR2 to Pack-a-Punch to stabilize it.
How to Get the Free TR2 FAL in Rex Infernus
For the TR2 FAL, head to Dravakar's Inner Sanctum and purchase the M34 Novaline. After making your purchase, head back to the Nexus Forge and use the Void Claw to pull one of the purple orbs toward Pack-a-Punch. This will cause the purple orb to spin around, and you can now crank the wheels by Pack-a-Punch to charge the cauldrons with purple fire known as Astral Flame.
At this point, you need it to Pack-a-Punch three weapons and make sure it's raining. You can either wait for a Deathspinner (spider) round for it to rain, or you can manually make it rain in the next round by interacting with the blue well inside Veytharion's Sanctuary, but this requires you to complete the (easy) Veytharion block puzzle, which we'll guide you through with the link provided.
Once it's raining, take the Astral Flame to the M34 Novaline wall-buy and shoot the fire at it. If done correctly, a rift will open, and an HVT Web Mother will spawn. Once you kill the named Web Mother, the TR2 FAL can be grabbed from the M34 Novaline wall, but be warned, this TR2 is Unstable!
With the Unstable TR2, you must immediately take it to Pack-a-Punch to stabilize it. Failing to do so will cause you to die, so make sure you start your run back to Pack-a-Punch! This will Pack-a-Punch the weapon and turn it into the "Corrupted Press F".
With the Corrupted TR2, missing a shot will cause you to take 35 damage, so make sure you're accurate when firing!
Is the TR2 FAL Any Good in Black Ops 7 Zombies?
Unfortunately, despite being an Ultra Rarity weapon, the TR2 is rather mid. It has a fun effect, as it becomes semi-automatic and has a scope when you Pack-a-Punch it, but considering it's Corrupted and causes damage if you miss your shots, and the only other way to get it is through the Mystery Box, you're looking at a disastrous combo.
Even still, the TR2 just doesn't have the damage numbers of other powerful weapons. You're much better off using the Mammoth LMG or the Echo-12 Shotgun, as both of these weapons are monsters with the right build codes (which we have in the links provided).
