Henchman Story follows Stan,a down-on-his-luck supervillain lackey who’s just trying to make rent. Rather than swinging fists and blowing up cities, this visual novel is all about navigating the awkward, messy workplace politics in a world jam-packed with capes and chaos.

What makes Henchman Story stand out is its fantastic humor and surprising heart. Stan could end up a fiercely loyal minion, a reluctant double agent, or he might even forge an unlikely friendship with the very superhero he was supposed to fight. It’s a clever, wonderfully self-aware look at what it actually means to work for the bad guys, equal parts comedy and oddly relatable job simulator.

Destroy All Humans! (2020)

Minion, Martian Edition

This modern remake of the cult classic Destroy All Humans! lets players step into the rather large shoes (for his size) of Crypto, an alien tasked with harvesting human DNA and sowing chaos on Earth. While Crypto is technically the protagonist, he's really just a foot soldier in the Furon Empire’s grand invasion plan.

The joy in this game comes from wreaking utter havoc. UFO abductions, telekinesis, disintegration rays, all unleashed while following orders from the delightfully cynical Orthopox. It's equal parts comedy and destruction. Being the villain’s loyal alien grunt has rarely been this much fun.
