Battlefield 6 Season 2 offers more of the same all-out warfare experience from before, but following several balance passes and the introduction of new weapons, players have a lot more options to choose from in terms of weaponry. Buffs and nerfs to some guns have changed the way they are ideally built, so while popular picks from the previous season are still good in BF6 S2, players may need to use different attachments in order to get the most value from their weapons. In this guide, we'll be revisiting the primary weapon meta in Battlefield 6 to help you arm yourself better in the updated sandbox.

Battlefield 6 launches with 45 weapons. Here’s a quick tier list ranking them all, from top meta picks to ones you might want to skip.

Battlefield 6 Season 2 Muzzle Brake Buffs

BF6 Double-Port Brake
Battlefield 6 Double-Port Brake

Before we dig into the guns, we need to point out an important change to muzzle attachments that came with this season:

  • Adjusted in-world spotting range when firing a weapon without a suppressor or flash hider, reducing it from 75 to 54 meters.
  • Adjusted minimap spotting range when firing suppressed weapons, increasing it from 15 to 21 meters to better align with intended balance.

Muzzle brakes like the Double-Port Brake and Linear Comp are now much more forgiving when it comes to in-world spotting (a.k.a. 3D spotting). When you fire your weapon with any of these attachments equipped, red markers will no longer appear above your head for enemies who are over 54 meters away. Meanwhile, you will now appear on enemy minimaps if you fire a suppressed weapon within 21 meters. The images above are rough estimates of how far each of these distances are.

If you find yourself in a lot of close-range firefights, or if you know that you'll be more than 54 meters away at all times, then you might as well use a muzzle brake over a suppressor. Not only will you get the same benefit of not appearing on the screen, but you'll save up on some loadout points as well.

Picking between a muzzle brake and a suppressor still depends strongly on your personal playstyle and what map you're playing. If you're on a close-ranged map like Empire State or Siege of Cairo, and you're focusing on flanking the enemy team, then suppressors will still trump muzzle brakes.

50mw Blue Laser

The 50mw Blue Laser attachment improves your hipfire accuracy as well as your accuracy when firing while moving. While this did not receive any changes from the Season 2 balance patch, the changes to muzzle have made it a more appealing choice for players who choose to go with a muzzle brake over a suppressor, especially those who use foregrips that reduce accuracy when firing while moving.

This attachment will make a frequent appearance in the loadouts below, but if you'd still rather have the stealth benefits of suppressors, feel free to leave out the 50mw Blue Laser, or use a cheaper foregrip along with your suppressor of choice.

Best M433 Loadout

The M433 has always been a stellar assault rifle, but following the balance patch that preceded the launch of BF6 Season 2, it has become so much stronger. The recoil on this weapon has been reduced significantly, making it much easier to use over longer ranges (and in general). This change alone has put the M433 at the top spot of our best ARs list for Battlefield 6, especially with the following attachments:

  • Linear Comp (10pts)
  • Classic Vertical Grip (35pts)
  • 50mw Blue Laser (20pts)
  • Any CQB Optic (10pts)

These four attachments will turn your M433 into an adaptable assault rifle that stays accurate even up to 50 meters. You'll still want to storm the enemy with it, though. Keep the rest of your weapon attachments as-is, or swap the Classic Vertical Grip for an Alloy Vertical so you can get spare points for other mods.

Other BF6 Season 2 meta assault rfiles that work great with this attachment setup include:

  • Kord 6P67
  • TR-7
  • VCR-2

Best SCW-10 Loadout in Battlefield 6 Season 2

BF6 Default SCW-10

The SCW-10 is still the best SMG in BF6 in terms of raw lethality. It still dominates in close quarters, and while the weapon did receive a nerf to its recoil, it can still take enemies out easily in mid-range if you compensate for the additional kick. The following attachment setup aims to minimize the SCW-10's recoil while keeping it competitive against other popular close-medium-ranged weapons:

  • Flash Hider OR Double-Port Brake (10pts)
  • Ribbed Vertical Grip (20pts)
  • 20Rnd Magazine (20pts)
  • Mag Catch (5pts)
  • Any CQB sight (10pts)
  • 50mw Blue Laser (20pts)

This loadout excels in those brutal gunfights within the 20-meter mark, but with the added recoil control from the Ribbed Vertical Grip and movement accuracy with the Blue Laser, you'll still be able to comfortably take distant targets down with the SCW-10.

Other meta SMGs in BF6 S2 include:

  • SGX & USG90 (for close range)
  • PW5A3 & UMG40 (for medium range)

Best M277 Loadout in Battlefield 6 Season 2

BF6 Default M277

The M277 saw a significant decrease in its recoil in Season 2, and it has since become the best carbine in Battlefield 6 thanks to its consistent damage profile. This weapon is on par with the TR-7, AK4D, and several LMGs when it comes to lethality at 20-80 meters away, being able to 4-tap players to the chest. This loadout for capitalizing on the M277's mid-range power without leaving players defenseless in close range:

  • Compensated Brake (20pts)
  • 6H64 Vertical Grip (25pts)
  • SDO 3.50x Scope (10pts)
  • Canted Iron Sights (5pts)
  • 25Rnd Fast Mag (25pts)

We also recommend skipping the 25-round magazine for a Match Trigger. This will reduce the recoil and improve the fire rate of the M277 when in single-shot mode. You'll be a bit more vulnerable in CQB, but the Match Trigger will turn the M277 into a medium-long-ranged beast that rivals even the best BF6 DMRs within that 80-meter range.

Other popular carbine choices include:

  • SG553R
  • QBZ-192
  • M417A2

Best L110 Loadout in Battlefield 6 Season 2

BF6 Default L110

The L110 is our pick for best LMG in BF6 thanks to the sheer versatility of it. This machine gun is great at all ranges, and it rivals even the M250 when it comes to shooting down enemies at 80+ meters. You don't really need much to get a ton of value out of the L110; its recoil is low, it can accurately hit distant targets without a bipod, and if you're playing as a Support, you'll have no issue with its ADS speed and handling. Still, here's our recommended loadout for this LMG:

  • Long Suppressor (25pts)
  • Folding Stubby Grip (20pts)
  • Heavy Extended Barrel (10pts)
  • SU-230 LPVO 1-4x Scope (20pts)

Other LMGs you might want to use are:

  • DRS-IAR/RPKM: Both of these are closer to assault rifles than machine guns, and they're great if you want to be more mobile while still being able to lay down accurate suppressive fire.
  • M250: This LMG is still great for 4-tapping enemies from across the map.

Best SVK 8.6 Loadout in Battlefield 6 Season 2

BF6 Default SVK

Image via GameRant; Source: EA

The SVK 8.6 is the only DMR in the game that can kill enemies in two hits to the body. It doesn't necessarily kill any faster than the other marksman rifles in Battlefield 6, but only needing to hit two shots makes it incredibly convenient and easy to use. This rifle is great at long-ranged engagements, and it doesn't need any specific attachments to work well either. However, we do recommend using the following:

  • Lightened Suppressor (30pts)
  • Extended Barrel (15pts)
  • PTT Grip Pod (20pts)
  • Long-ranged scope of choice

Due to how slowly the SVK fires, you'll want to stay far away from your enemies. The gun excels at 70–100 meters; any close than that, and you'll likely get outgunned by other DMRs because of the SVK's strong recoil. Using a Grip Pod or a full-blown bipod will make follow-up shots much easier to hit from a distance.

If you're not a fan of the SVK, then any of the other DMRs should be enough. They're all close to each other in terms of raw performance, and it's all a matter of picking what you prefer most.

Best M1014 Loadout in Battlefield 6 Season 2

BF6 Default M1014

The M1014 is in a weird spot; it has a shorter one-shot range than the M87A1, and it has fewer rounds per full load than the 18.5 KSK and DB-12. However, it fires faster than the former, and by using what might as well be a magic trick, the M1014 can fire more shots down range than the latter two.

  • CQB Suppressor (30pts)
  • 4-Shell Tube (5pts)
  • Slugs (40pts)
  • Any close-range optic (10pts)

Slug rounds give the M1014 a higher effective range without losing its 1HK potential, though it will sacrifice some hipfire accuracy with it. What makes this shotgun magical is the 4-Shell Tube attachment; with this equipped, you'll be able to instantly cancel the M1014's reload animation, and for some reason, while you have the 4-Shell Tube equipped, the gun actually reloads faster than what its animation suggests. You'll notice that by the time your character inserts one shell, two shells would have already been added to the M1014's ammo counter.

With this loadout, the only thing you need to worry about is trigger discipline. You won't be able to instantly cancel the M1014 reload animation if you completely run out of shells. Make sure you only fire four shots, and that you hit 1–2 of those shots in every fight.

Best Mini Scout Loadout in Battlefield 6 Season 2

BF6 Modified Mini Scout
Battlefield 6 Modified Mini Scout
Image via GameRant; Source: EA

The Mini Scout is still the best sniper rifle in BF6 Season 2 because of its high fire rate and built-in straight-pull bolt. While it doesn't have a sweet spot like the other sniper rifles, it more than makes up for it by being the most forgiving of the bunch. It will still kill in one headshot, but if you miss and hit the body, you can easily send another bullet into your enemy to secure the kill.

The only attachment you need for the Mini Scout is the Extended Barrel, which will bump its projectile velocity up to 1,000 and make it even more competitive against other sniper rifles. You won't really need to bother with a range finder with the Mini Scout due to its lack of a sweet spot, and you can always adjust your scope zero manually if you ever feel that bullet drop is working against you.

Thanks to the Mini Scout's fast fire rate, equipping a laser sight on it is actually something worth doing. The higher the Hipfire stat, the better. Don't forget to turn the laser off whenever you're just camping somewhere.
