Should You Shake Carmine Falcone's Hand?
- Shake his hand | Refuse
The first real choice in Episode 1 is when Falcone enters Wayne Manor uninvited. All guests watch as he extends his hand to Bruce, and you'll need to make a decision whether to shake his hand or refuse it.
I decided to shake Falcone's hand because this is Bruce Wayne, not Batman, so keeping up appearances is important. There's no real consequence to this decision, but people will speculate on Bruce's relationship with Falcone later in the Episode.
Should You Let Harvey Into the Private Meeting?
- Harvey comes with me. | I'll talk with Falcone alone.
The next choice in Episode 1 takes place in a private room in Wayne Manor, where Falcone wants to talk with Bruce alone, meaning without Harvey Dent. Your options involve letting Harvey come with you or leaving him outside.
I let Harvey enter the meeting, as this involves his mayoral campaign, and he's Bruce's best friend, so cutting him out of what could be vital information seemed disrespectful, and I didn't want to give Falcone any private leverage over Harvey or Bruce.
67.1% of players invited Harvey into the private meeting!
Should You Give Vicki Vale a Quote?
- Give Quote | Refuse
When the news story breaks through Gotham that the Waynes have criminal connections with the Falcone crime syndicate, it's Vicki Vale who provides Bruce with an opportunity to make an official statement to the press regarding these criminal claims.
I gave Vicki a quote, as it felt important for Bruce Wayne to uphold the name and legacy of his family, instead of hiding in the shadows by refusing to comment on a matter that's so dear and personal to him.
85.4% of players provided Vicki with a quote!
Should You Break the Dock Shooter's Arm?
- Break | Back out
When Batman arrives at the docks and investigates the crime scene, he will find the dock shooter and string him up for justice. However, this justice is done through intimidation, but it can end with some severe interrogation where Batman has the choice to break his arm.
I backed out and showed mercy to the dock shooter, as Batman had already gotten all the information out of him, arrested him, and the police are on their way. It doesn't make sense for Batman to break his arm when he's gotten everything he needed, and it leaves the police with a suspect who is not in shock.
51.3% of players showed mercy in the interrogation of the docks shooter!
Should You Talk to Gordon or Disappear?
- Talk to Gordon | Disappear
After your choice with the dock shooter, Lieutenant Gordon will arrive, and you have the choice to talk to him about who's behind the attack at the dock, or flee without ever communicating what happened.
This choice doesn't actually impact anything, but considering Batman's in his early days and wants to gain the trust of the one good cop in the GCPD, I like selecting the option to talk to Gordon to build a working relationship with him.
Regardless of your choice, Alfred will make the same comment, "You're taking things too far, Bruce!" and even if you didn't hurt the dock shooter, he will still claim "you beat that man half to death."
Should You Accept or Tear the Tickets?
- Accept the tickets | Tear them up
In a confrontation with Alfred after the docks, he shows Bruce the movie tickets from when Bruce lost his parents. It's a reminder of why he is doing this, and a scarred memory he could never forget, which is why you're given a choice to accept the tickets or tear them up.
For me, this was a no-brainer. I accepted the tickets. No matter how angry or brutal Batman is, he would never forget his mission and would never destroy the very reminder of that fateful night when his parents were taken from him.
Should You Give the Evidence to Vicki Vale or James Gordon?
- Vicki Vale | James Gordon
The data drive has been downloaded, and it shows a mountain of evidence against Falcone. Bruce and Alfred have a decision to make: hand the evidence to Vicki Vale so that Falcone's crimes are plastered all over the news, or give the evidence to Gordon so the GCPD has the evidence they need to arrest him.
This was another easy choice for me. I gave the evidence to Gordon for a multitude of reasons. Firstly, Bruce trusts Gordon to be a good cop, and giving him a golden ticket to arrest Falcone without alerting him through the media is the right thing to do. Plus, it shows that despite the ongoing investigation into the Waynes, Bruce still wants justice over bribery.
72.4% of players gave the Falcone data to Lieutenant Gordon!
Should You Arrest or Brutalize Falcone?
- Arrest | Brutalize
It's over for Falcone, and Batman has enough evidence to bring him to justice and serve him up for the GCPD. After infiltrating his Sky High club, he has a choice whether to arrest him or brutalize him, both of which will give him more answers before the police arrive.
I arrested Falcone to help the police, as brutalizing him in front of a news helicopter sends Gotham the wrong message. Batman isn't an unhinged and violent criminal; he's Gotham's vigilante protector, so bringing Falcone to justice gets Batman the answers he needs, whereas impaling him would put him into shock.
82% of players showed restraint and arrested Falcone safe and sound!
