About Noah Waterman
It all started with a black screen, followed by a small "ding" and white letters appearing on screen spelling out "Nintendo". Since then, Noah Waterman has gone from Bay Area nerd to the "Boss Monster" of the New York nerd culture scene. He hosts a monthly comedy-video game tournament called "The World's Greatest Gamer" where every round is a wildy different game, he is the brain behind "The Bizarrcade", a YouTube channel that focuses on obscure gaming history & culture, and is the announcer for the giant monster wrestling promotion Kaiju Big Battel. As a digital video producer, Noah has over 12 years of experience making content for the web, including 5 as the Senior Producer and Channel Manager for the WWE's gaming channel "UpUpDownDown", hosted by Xavier Woods of the New Day, where he helped create and grow series like Uno, Rollout and the UUDD Championship Livestreams. Now, Noah is excited to be a part of the Game Rant team, continuing his focus on the industry he holds dear to his heart - and travelling a lot less in order to have more time for his family, his mini-painting, and of course - more games.
Proudest Gaming Achievement
Unlocking all the F-Zero AX characters in F-Zero GX THE HARD WAY (i.e. without access to the arcade cabinet).
Favorite Games
Hollow Knight, Skies of Arcadia, Super Metroid, Trombone Champ, Astrobot, Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Final Fantsy 6, Mario Sunshine, Cho Aniki: Bakuretsu Ranto Hen, Metal Slug X....ask me again tomorrow, the answers are likely to change.
Favorite Console
The Super Nintendo. Was my first love, but also did so much with what we now see as so little - plus if you count the Super Famicom library, the industry got REALLY experimental with their ideas. Not everything landed, but things were attempted and the nature of gaming as an art form flourished in a way that was never again matched until the indie game boom.
