About Kendall Cunningham
Kendall Cunningham is a writer, a podcast host, and a lifelong gamer who has been writing about the industry for nearly 5 years. His work is driven by a love for games that dates back to the NES, with a focus on highlighting indie titles,along with unique takes on established genres or beloved franchises.
While he has a wide variety of tastes, a particular passion always exists for the Zelda, Final Fantasy, and Persona franchises, along with a love for Soulslike games that was born from the original Demon's Souls. Outside of these particular franchises, his passions include Metroidvanias, Roguelikes, and the occasional farming sim. Kendall is also a long time lover of music, film, and the Philadelphia Eagles.
Favorite Games
As a huge Zelda fan, I'd have to choose Tears of the Kingdom, with games like Wind Waker and Majora's Mask also being close. I'm also a huge fan of Bloodborne, the modern Persona titles, and Final Fantasy (VII, IX and X especially.)
Industry Focus
My primary focus in the games industry is on highlighting lesser-known indie titles with interesting or unique gameplay elements, as well as drawing attention to unique perspectives and approaches to games as the industry evolves.
Favorite Console
To this day, I'd consider the PlayStation 2 to be my favorite console of all time. The sheer number of quality titles was staggering. Some of the greatest series of all time (Final Fantasy, Metal Gear Solid, GTA, etc) hit their stride during this generation, while other games like Shadow of the Collosus and Okami showed us just how artistic the medium can be. A brilliant console.
