How to Get to the Upstairs Lounge in 007 First Light (Investigate Joshua Pike)
After retrieving the dead drop and mission brief from the bathroom, James will be tasked with investigating Joshua Pike in "A Night Out" chapter of 007 First Light. The first objective is to reach Joshua Pike in the upstairs lounge first, which can be accomplished by different means. Here's how you can enter the upstairs lounge in 007 First Light.
How to Get a Stamp & Use the Main Staircase ('The Stamp' Route)
If you try to take the stairs leading directly to the upstairs lounge, James will be stopped by a bouncer who'll demand to see "The Stamp." To get the stamp, James will need to have his name on the exclusive invite list for the lounge upstairs.
You'll need to first visit the counter just opposite the bathroom, where James knocks out the enraged boyfriend. Talk to the NPC there, and they'll tell James that he needs to be on the invite list to get the stamp, which will allow him to enter the upstairs lounge.
Just to the left of the counter, there's a corridor that you'll need to follow to the end. There will be an eavesdrop opportunity at the back, which will give the name "Jones."
Once the interaction is over, head back to the counter opposite the bathrooms and talk to the second NPC, who's played by popular YouTuber Jacksepticeye. After introducing yourself as Jones at the counter, the NPC will immediately grant James the stamp, which will allow him to enter the upstairs lounge in 007 First Light through the main stairs.
How to Climb to the Upstairs Lounge ('Above and Beyond' Route)
The second route players can take to reach the upstairs lounge during Joshua Pike's investigation is by simply climbing up. To do that, go to the main dance floor, and you'll spot an eavesdrop opportunity by the wall. The couple will be talking about how a man climbed up the upstairs lounge via the backstage access for free drinks.
After getting the hint, go towards the right side of the stage with the DJ to slip through a small opening. As soon as you enter backstage, turn left, and you'll be able to climb over equipment and make your way to the upstairs lounge in 007 First Light.
How to Use the Backstairs Behind the Bar ('Staff Only' Route)
The third route you could take to enter the upstairs lounge is rather simple, but requires James to trespass through a "staff only" area. You'll get the initial hint of this opportunity when talking to Nash, who'll tell James that there are backstairs behind the bar.
Head to the bar area, where you previously met the MI6 contact, and you'll spot a door leading to the restricted staff-only area. There's an NPC right in front of the door that you can use the Dart Phone on to induce dizziness. As soon as the employee gets sick, enter through the door, into the staff-only area.
Crouch down once inside and sneak past the second NPC in the area, who's busy at the table. Once you reach the other side, head up the stairs, and you'll exit out on the backstairs leading to the upstairs lounge in 007 First Light.
How to Complete Hacking Joshua Pike's Phone in 007 First Light
After reaching the upstairs lounge, you'll need to hack Joshua Pike's phone in 007 First Light to retrieve more intel on his dealings. You'll need to start hacking using the Q-Watch and stay close to him.
Don't worry, even if you bump into Joshua, he won't suspect a thing.
He'll roam around the dance floor as James hacks his phone, but will eventually enter a restricted area where James won't be able to follow him due to the bouncer.
To complete the phone hack, look to the left of the bouncer, and you'll spot a door leading next to the bar. Go through the door, and you'll enter a restricted area. Simply follow the hallway till you can eventually climb over the platforms and reach close to Joshua Pike.
You'll exit out into a hallway where you can see Joshua Pike through a window. This distance is enough for the hacking to resume and be completed. Once the hack is complete, you'll finish up the "Investigate Joshua Pike" mission in 007 First Light and will progress the story forward.
