The black market in 007 First Light's The Past Never Dies mission has many different ways for James Bond to acquire the $100,000 auction fee, but there's one way that might frustrate you more than the others: the Cup Game as part of the Jewel of Jahari.
No matter how many times you attempt the Cup Game, you're going to lose. It doesn't matter if you track the cup with your eyes, play back the footage slowly, or select every single cup. However, the way to win is simpler than you think, and it just requires the Q-Lens.
007 First Light: The Past Never Dies - All Challenges Guide
The Past Never Dies is the 4th mission with challenges in 007 First Light, and it has 23 challenges that you need to complete to master it.
How to Win the Cup Game in 007 First Light
- You can find Aadan next to the shoe stall, which is to the right of the Fighting Pit. You will need to pay $3,500 to attempt the game, but if you win, you'll get $30,000.
Once you speak with Aadan and press X/A to play, you will immediately want to hold L1/LB to activate the Q-Lens. When Aadan shows the red jewel, it will now be highlighted orange through the Q-Lens, and you can track it as Aadan moves the cups.
If you use the Q-Lens, the cup should always be in the middle. However, if the jewel isn't highlighted, it means you didn't use the Q-Lens correctly. Even if you select the middle, it will be in a different cup, so make sure to use the Q-Lens, or you won't be able to win!

The Jewel of Jahari Walkthrough in 007 First Light
Once you spawn in the market, you'll be required to get $100,000. Your first step should be to head down the stairs and speak to Nirmala, the pawn shop owner on the left. After selecting the dialogue "Anything I can do for you?" You will get the Jewel of Jahari sub-objective.
Before you visit Aadan and the Cup Game, you'll need $3,500 to play the game. You can do so through the Fighting Pit, or pickpocket two soldiers found around the market (you can pickpocket them by distracting them, and we used the Phone Dart for both).
You will find Aadan to the right of the Fighting Pit, and interacting with him will allow you to trade $3,500 for one chance to play the Cup Game. Luckily, one chance is all you need, as you can win every time by using the Q-Lens (Hold L1/LB).
Once you get the Jewel of Jahari, return to Nirmala and give her the jewel, who will reward you with $30,000. You will also get the Cupped Challenge!
