007 First Light's open-ended approach to missions gives James the freedom to complete a mission through multiple routes, and some of them may be locked or closed off. The Compound Basement is one of such rooms in the training facility that players will come across towards the end of James Bond training in Malta. Players have an option to go through the basement to not only get closer to the flag, but also snag one of the collectibles. So, here's a guide on how to get the Compound Basement Keys in 007 First Light, and where to use them.
Steam Users Have a Chance to Get 007 First Light for Just $1
A limited-time Steam deal gives PC gamers a chance to get a Key for the upcoming release of 007 First Light at the cheap, cheap cost of $1.
How to Get the Compound Basement Keys in 007 First Light
The Compound Basement Keys can be found at the start of the "Search the Compound" mission in the "A New Home" chapter in 007 First Light. As soon as James enters the large compound area of the training facility, he'll spot a group of soldiers watching the game on TV in a broken structure.
You'll have the option to either sneak around the structure to grab the key or take out the soldiers first, depending on which challenge you want to complete.
Regardless of how you approach the situation, you'll find the Compound Basement Keys on the left wall of the structure. Simply grab it up, and now you'll be able to open a locked section of the compound.
Where to use the Compound Basement Keys in 007 First Light
If you already have the key and are searching for the Compound Basement area, take a right from the structure where you find the key and head across the steps. You'll arrive on a balcony where two soldiers will be having a conversation. You'll need to wait for one soldier to go away and carefully sneak past behind their backs across the area.
At the end of the corridor, go down the steps, and you'll find the locked door to the basement on your left. Simply use the Compound Basement key in 007 First Light to head inside.
There's a large room in the basement where you'll find three soldiers. Make use of the various functions of the Q-Watch to distract the guards before heading in to take them down. On top of a pallet, you'll find the "7 of Roses" playing card collectible. There are also some valuable resources that you can pick up in the Compound Basement.
